Well, that didn’t take long. Even though I’d been warned in numerous podcasts about podcasting not to, we have been recording directly into the computer. On Tuesday, about an hour and 15 minutes into recording, the software I use crashed, and did not save our audio recording. Luckily, I, for the first time, was using my digital audio recorder as a backup. What you hear here is the best I could accomplish with my limited knowledge and experience. I hope it won’t hurt your ears too much.
This is sick stuff. As proposed, this law was going to require sonograms, many of which would require the use of a vaginal probe, before an abortion could be performed. Even as passed, it sucks: doctors would be required to offer to perform the sonogram.
We get in to this from two directions – How the law, even as passed, is really an attempt to side-step Roe v. Wade, and how incredibly misleading the authors of the article were, since they were reporting on a version of the law no longer proposed.
In this segment, we cover an interesting article outlining an economic argument for the Birth Control Coverage mandate.
Dave Mustaine, leader of the heavy metal band Megadeth, is ready to rock out for Rick Santorum. “Earlier in the election, I was completely oblivious as to who Rick Santorum was, but when the dude went home to be with his daughter when she was sick, that was very commendable,” Mustaine recently told MusicRadar.com. “… You know, I think Santorum has some presidential qualities, and I’m hoping that if it does come down to it, we’ll see a Republican in the White House… and that it’s Rick Santorum.”

He held a kickstarter fundraiser drive this past month, hoping to raise $57,750 in order to reprint maybe the first book in the series. The drive ended this morning, and ended up raising $1.2 million dollars. For a comic strip consisting of stick figures. That’s amazing.
